The previously announced Yuzuki-san Chi no Yon Kyodai anime has revealed its first trailer as well as details on its main cast. Shuka Studio (Durarara!! Season 2, 91 days, The Jeweler Richard Files) animated the series.
Mitsuri Hongo is directing the series, while Ori Tanaka will serve as chief animation director and character designer. The main cast includes:
- Ryota Iwazaki as Hayato
- Kikunosuke Toya as Mikoto
- Miyuki Sakurai as Minato
- Momoka Terasawa as Gakuto
The anime is based on a coming-of-age manga written and illustrated by Shizuki Fujisawa. It has been serialized in Shogakukan’s shojo manga magazine Betsucomi since August 2018, with fourteen tankoboni volumes at the time of writing. The manga also won the 66th Shogakukan Manga Award in the shojo category in 2021.
The manga follows the story of the Yuzuki family, which consists of four brothers. After losing their parents, the siblings must find a way to navigate life by relying on each other. The story will focus on the siblings’ journey through life, including their relationship with the local community and their school.
