The Yakitori: Soldiers of Misery the anime releases on Netflix worldwide this May 18. The anime was first announced during AnimeJapan 2023. Studio Arect animated the series under the direction of Hideki Anbo. You can check out some of the released screenshots here:

Atsushi Yamagata does the character design, Mitsuyasu Sakai the script, and Ishii Ken the music. Netflix describes the plot as:
After Earth is colonized by a superior alien civilization, Akira’s only chance for a better future is to enlist as an expendable Yakitori infantryman.
The Yakitori: Soldiers of Misery the anime is based on a series of light novels by Carlo Zen (The saga of Tanya Zlata, Yakusoku no Kuni) and illustrated by so-bin. Hayakawa Publishing published the said light novel under its own Hayakawa Bunko JA from August 2017
This is the latest of the upcoming anime titles on Netflix. Black Clover: The Sword of the Sorcerer King, The Seven Deadly Sins: The Wrath of Edinburgh, Part 2, Pluto, Kengan Ashura Part 3, Game: Rebirthand Ragnarok Season 2 Episode 2 Record also coming later this year.
