The Isle of Wight duo – Rhian Teasdale and Hester Chambers – took time out to speak to the renowned Canadian music journalist (aka the Human Serviette) during their current North American tour.
As is customary on the channel, Nardwuar – known for his enthusiastic and irreverent interview techniques – presented Wet Leg with various gifts during the talk, including an original Velvet Underground postcard from 1968.
He also asked Teasdale about his time working on Robin Hill theme park on the Isle of Wight.
Speaking about the “big bird costumes” she had to wear to work, the singer explained: “You have to put your feet on and then you get inside. You have to clean the inside first , because it gets hot and sweaty.”
Teasdale added: “It was so gross, so gross.”
Chambers later recalled how Wet Leg touring member Josh Omead Mobaraki “accidentally” performed part of the group’s hit song ‘Chaise Lounge’ by fiddling with his pocket piano.
Henry Holmes, who plays drums in the duo, recalls that Wet Leg was “blown away” before joining the live line-up: “I thought, ‘I think I’d like to be in that band,’ and it all worked out. ,” he said. .
