Watch Yeah Yeah Yeahs Perform ‘Burning’ on ‘Kimmel’

Yeah Yeah Yeahs performed their single ‘Burning’ on the latest episode of Jimmy Kimmel Live!, taken from their new album ‘Cool It Down’.

The band – consisting of Karen O, Nick Zinner and Brian Chase – were the musical guests on the September 30 episode of the talk show, where they performed the cut “Cool It Down” on the same day as the album’s release.

With Karen O perched on top of fiery faux-rock, Yeah Yeah Yeahs put on an electrifying, stirring performance under a shroud of smoke and streaks.

The release of their fifth studio album, “Cool It Down”, marks the band’s first record in nine years, following the release of 2013’s “Mosquito”.

Yeah Yeah Yeahs announced the album with the release of the single “Spitting Off The Edge Of The World”, which features Perfume Genius.

They then released another single, “Burning,” and performed the first album cut “Lovebomb” at a concert in Chicago earlier this month.

In a five-star review of ‘Cool It Down’, Erica Campbell of NME noted how the release saw Yeah Yeah Yeahs “focus on an imaginative new future”.

“With ‘Cool It Down,’ the trio sweep aside expectations with ease, crashing into the puzzle with themes that poke fun at the apocalypse.”

After announcing concerts in March, Yeah Yeah Yeahs returned to the UK stage in June, adding more dates to the run before it began to meet demand.

In May, the group announced their US performances in a brand new way, using graffiti and tennis balls to spell out “YYY”. Later, Yeah Yeah Yeahs confirmed a series of concerts in the United States, at the Forest Hills stadium in New York on October 1 and at the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles on October 6.
