Watch Travis Barker bring his drums to fans on the Blink-182 tour

Travis Barker personally handed out his drumsticks to fans on the opening day of Blink-182’s 2023 European tour – watch the video below.

The trio kicked off their current concert series in Antwerp, Belgium, last Friday (September 8), after announcing their new music with a series of cryptic posters and a website.

Before taking to the stage at Antwerpen’s Sportpaleis stadium, Barker addressed the queue of fans waiting outside to surprise a concertgoer. The person in question had made a cardboard sign that said, “Can I have a drum stick?”

In the images published on Barker’s official TikTok profile, the musician is seen leaving the premises before handing fans a pair of drumsticks. The two hug and luck is excited about the gift.

“Travis Barker just gave me his drums! What the fuck?” he says through tears after hugging his friend.

In the comments section, the recipient of the drumsticks wrote: “This is the happiest moment of my entire life! Thank you forever ❤️❤️❤️.” He also reposted the video on his own TikTok, captioning it: “Travis Barker gave me his drumsticks and I’m still not okay.”

Earlier this month, Blink-182 had to postpone their shows in Glasgow, Belfast and Dublin due to an “urgent family matter”. Barker later said his wife Kourtney Kardashian was undergoing “life-threatening emergency surgery” for her unborn child.

The European leg of the band’s world tour resumes in Copenhagen, Denmark, tonight (September 12). Blink-182 have concerts in London, Birmingham and Manchester next month.

Blink-182 marked the return of Tom DeLonge last year with the release of the single “Edging” and confirmation that their ninth studio album was in the works. DeLonge already hoped that the unannounced album could be the group’s “best” and “most progressive”.

Late last month, DeLonge said the album was “just weeks (days) away,” adding, “We’re finally here.”

Blink-182 hinted again that new music was on the way last Thursday (September 7) when they shared an animation of a digital clock, soundtracked by clips of unknown material.
