Watch the unmissable Paul McCartney recreate an iconic Beatles album cover

Paul McCartney almost got hit by a car while recreating iconic artwork from The Beatles’ “Abbey Road” album. Watch the following video.

The incident happened while McCartney was filming the Abbey Road documentary If These Walls Could Talk for his daughter.

Earlier this year, Mary McCartney said of the incident: “The part where the car almost hit him at the crossroads was really funny. As we were leaving [del estudio]I told him: ‘I will film you [en el paso de cebra]’, and he came up and the car didn’t stop for him.”

Abbey Road Studios shared the images on their twitter account: “Paul McCartney has a narrow escape at the Abbey Road junction. In this clip from the new Mary McCartney documentary, Paul’s car narrowly misses as he recreates the ‘Abbey Road’ album cover.”

If These Walls Could Talk is out now on Disney+ and traces the long history of the iconic London studio. The documentary includes interviews with McCartney and his fellow Beatles Ringo Starr, as well as Elton John, Nile Rodgers, Noel and Liam Gallagher, Roger Waters, Celeste and George Lucas, among others.

“It was a difficult documentary to put together, because it’s not about a person or a life story. It’s about a building,” Mary McCartney told NME. “You can say people respect Abbey Road, but it’s like, ‘Why do they care about Abbey Road? And I think that’s what I wanted to explore.’

The photographer and director also revealed that “because of my last name, I was about to turn down the project.”

It was announced earlier this week that never-before-seen photographs of the Beatles, taken by McCartney in their prime, will go on display this summer at the refurbished National Portrait Gallery. McCartney to publish new photo book, 1964: Eyes Of The Storm.

McCartney will also appear on Dolly Parton’s new album, “Rock Star,” which will include covers of classic songs by artists including Prince, The Rolling Stones, Led Zeppelin and Lynyrd Skynyrd. Stevie Nicks and Steven Tyler are some of the artists who have also collaborated.
