Watch the debut of the elite group LS Dunes live at Riot Fest

Supergroup LS Dunes made their live debut at this year’s Riot Fest.

LS Dunes, fronted by Anthony Green of Circa Survive, featuring Frank Iero, Coheed and Cambria’s Travis Stever of My Chemical Romance and Tim Payne and Tucker Rule announced their August lineup on Thursday.

The former hardcore group made their live debut on the first day (September 16) of Riot Fest, at Douglass Park in Chicago, Illinois, where My Chemical Romance headlined. They performed a six-song set, featuring tracks from their upcoming debut album, “Past Lives.”

Before the performance of “2022”, Green spoke to the audience to explain the meaning of the song: “It’s about learning to get over shit so you don’t want to kill yourself every day,” he said.

The album, which goes on sale November 11, will include the single “Permanent Rebellion”. Upon its release, Iero said the track is about “giving back what’s rightfully yours.”

Following their Riot Fest stint, LS Dunes will embark on a US tour, including an appearance at Aftershock Festival on Saturday, October 8.

Headlining shows begin at the Garden Amphitheater in Garden Grove, California on Saturday, November 12th. From there, LS Dunes will perform at nine more venues, ending at the Ottobar in Baltimore, Maryland on Wednesday, November 30.

Riot Fest 2022 is now underway, and will run until Sunday, September 18, when Nine Inch Nails will close out the three-day event.

The original lineup of the Misfits will headline on Saturday (September 17), when they will play their classic album “Walk Among Us” in its entirety.

Also on the program this year are the likes of Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Ice Cube, Jimmy Eat World, The Wonder Years, Bad Religion, Jeff Rosenstock, Action Bronson, The Linda Lindas and many more.
