Watch Kasabian on a late night walk in the ‘Chemicals’ video
Kasabian has shared the official video for his latest single ‘Chemicals’ – you can watch it below.
Released earlier this month, the song “ALYGATOR” and “SCRIPTVRE” followed the Leicester band ‘s forthcoming seventh album, “The Alchemist’s Euphoria”, the first since the departure of former frontman Tom Meighan.
Today (June 21), Serge Pizzorno and his company have dropped new trippy scenes to their latest track, in which a newly appointed Kasabian front man is seen strolling through his hometown during the wee hours of the morning.
LoOSE (IDLES, Fred Again …, Joy Crookes) directed the clip entitled ‘Chemicals – 3:21 am In Les-tah’ and it was filmed, as the name suggests, at 3:21 am.
Speaking on the single, Pizzorno explained: “It’s me to tell myself that everything is going to be okay. It was for me to see myself in the few weeks when everything started [con la salida de Meighan]“.
He continued, “It’s time for me to say to that person, ‘This is shit, but don’t worry, it’s better.’ So having a song about talking to yourself is a universal thing, I think. deal with it. ” with complications, disorder and mortality of life ”.
Meighan was fired from the band after being convicted of assaulting his now girlfriend and wife, Vikki Ager, in 2020.
During an interview with the NME last month, Pizzorno said that the transition to the role of prime minister did not change his singing: “It’s always my way,” he explained. “If anything, it’s more fun in terms of being able to watch the show live.”
He continued: “When you see someone singing words that have come out of them, there is something magical about it. You can feel what one is trying to say through a loaded performance. That’s when the sparks fly.
“This album was just about saying, ‘Let’s see what we can do, we’ll see where we can take this.’ Every album we’ve done was so different from the last one and you never knew where we were going. go after it. “
