Watch Chris Martin Take Abroad Family Pub Piano to Play Coldplay ‘A Sky Full of Stars’

Chris Martin from Coldplay was filmed taking the piano from a family pub to perform a performance of ‘A Sky Full of Stars’.

Martin was filmed playing the 2014 win at The Stag Inn family pub in Hinton Charterhouse, Bath, after a friendly conversation with a number of patrons who appeared to be planning a wedding. Enjoying a pint in the pub, Martin seemed to accept the patrons’ request to play the song, smiling as he launched into his opening notes.

“You never know who might come in for a pint. He’s a handsome man,” the pub owners wrote in their post on June 26th.

Coldplay have just left a series of concerts in North America as part of their “Music of The Spheres” world tour, and are set to resume their tour in Frankfurt, Germany on July 2nd. On the North American side of the tour, Bruce Springsteen, Kylie Minogue, Lupe Fiasco and Kelly Rowland joined Coldplay on stage at various stops.

The tour kicks off on its European dates through the end of August, ahead of a series of performances in South America between September and October, featuring musicians Camila Cabello and HER.

Coldplay’s Music of the Spheres World Tour is backing up their latest album of the same name. The album, which was released in October last year, features appearances by Selena Gomez and BTS, among others.

In a four-star review of the band’s ninth studio album, NME’s Rhian Daly said it feels “like a quintessential Coldplay”, praising ‘Music Of The Spheres’ as “a celestial beauty that can evoke wonder and wonderful emotions”.
