Netflix has released a clip featuring the cameo of the rapper Run The Jewels Killer Mike in the new episode of Ozark.
Ahead of the final seven episodes of the fourth season, which premieres tomorrow (April 29), several shared images show Ruth (Julia Garnia) crossing paths with the rapper in a coffee shop. You can see the clip below.
Ruth enters into a conversation with Mike who confirms her 1994 song of Nas ‘NY State Of Mind’, in which she draws a parallel with her own life seeking revenge for the murder of her cousin Wyatt.
“It simply came to our notice then [Nas] He hates it and misses it at the same time, and he’s only 20 years old fucking, “says Ruth of the song.
Mike then offers his own interpretation: “You know, when I listen to that record, their projects are in Queens, and you can see a little Manhattan. And I always thought he was so optimistic and cruel fucking at the same time. “
Last summer it was confirmed that a member of Run The Jewels – real name Michael Render – would make a cameo appearance in an episode of the series.
“I’ve gone from waiting to know what happens next to being a part of it,” the rapper then said. “I’m excited”.
For his part, Jason Bateman joked about Ozark’s upcoming end, suggesting that “it will be a happy ending for the Byrde family, but with a limp”.
Last month, Netflix shared a new trailer for the second half of Ozark’s fourth season.
Tomorrow will also be broadcast A Farewell To Ozark, a special 30-minute program exploring the creation of the final season.
