Wargasm has confirmed the release of their first full – length project along with news of their upcoming single ‘DRILDO’.
The Punk Wargasm duo have announced the release of ‘Priming: The Mixxxtape’ later this summer.
There will be a new single ‘DRILDO’ ahead, out this Friday (May 13). Prepare it here.
“Wargasm has signed with Slowplay & Republic Records in association with Island Records UK. Their first worldwide Mixxxtape will be released in Summer 2022,” the band wrote on Twitter. social networks.
Since its inception in 2019, Wargasm has released a number of independent singles. Speaking to NME about his desire to “make angry music for sad people”, Milkie Way said: “Everyone is angry and sad, so we may make a good profit too”.
Sam Matlock added: “Our music is 100% influenced by what happens around us, but we are not the kind of people who pray and pout. If the world feels heavy and dark, your sound will obviously reflect it. you’re feeling a little lost and confused, your sound will be a little messy and curious. “
The band is currently supporting Limp Bizkit on their “Still Sucks” tour of North America.
Recently, the two members of Wargasm joined Limp Bizkit on stage, with Matlock working with Fred Durst and the company ‘Take A Look Around’ and Way performing ‘Full Nelson’.
Speaking of his love for nu-metal with NME, Matlock said: “It’s more fun than other things, isn’t it? Radiohead is fucking great, but you do not always want something so complicated. Now you have Poppy, Rina Sawayama and Loathe [que] They have a nu-metal influence, but when we first started the bands that played Reading & Leeds did not have that violence or energy. I felt that the initial fun was missing from the rock scene. “
“That’s what you do with your art: you fill the void and do the things you want to hear,” Way said. “If you want to see a certain kind of expression of the kind of sound or people, you better fucking prove yourself.”
