Vinland Saga season 2 is coming in January 2023, and the official Twitter account for the anime shared the character design for Olmar, who will play a “critical” role in the sequel. Yu Hayashi voices the character and you can also see him in the latest trailer:

Director Shuhei Yabuta commented on his importance in the story, saying that he will mature a lot. Character designer and animation director Abiru Takahiko also commented, saying that he enjoyed drawing him and felt less tension compared to some other characters. You can read both of their comments on the image above. Shuhei Yabuta said that the staff for the anime will return to animate the sequel at studio MAPPA, and the staff for season 1 includes:
