Uzaki-chan Wants to Hangout Season 2 revealed a special preview ahead of tomorrow’s final episode. Studio ENGI animated the sequel, which premiered this October. The visual features Sakurai, Uzaki and a mysterious cat:
“Ichigo Ichie Celebration” by Kano and Uzaki-chan (Naomi Ozora) is the opening theme song for the series, while “Happy Life” by MKLNtic is the ending. Kazuya Miura directed the season and the main cast includes:
- Kenji Akabane as Shinichi Sakurai
- Naomi Oozora as Uzaki-chan
- Ayane Taketatsu as Ami Asai
- Yusuke Akimoto as Akihiko Asai
- Tomoya Takagi as Itsuhito Sakaki
- Yuko Sanpei as Kiri Uzaki
- Saori Hayami as Tsuki Uzaki
- Seina Kato as Yanagi Uzaki
- Hideo Ishikawa as Fujio Uzaki
Uzaki-chan wants to go out!is based on the manga by Take. It has been serialized on NicoNico Seiga’s Dra Dra Sharp website since December 2017. A TV anime adaptation by ENGI aired from July to September 2020.
Seven Seas Entertainmentlicensed the manga in English and described the plot as:
Sakurai Shinichi’s only desire is for some peace and quiet. But Uzaki Hana – his boisterous, gifted underclassman – has other plans. All she wants is to hang around and make fun of him. With the help of her energetic charm and cheerful tenacity, this could be just the beginning of a beautiful relationship!
