The upcoming Undead Unluck anime adaptation has revealed a new trailer focusing on characters from the series. Studio David Production (best known for the anime adaptations ofFirepowerandJojo’s Bizarre Adventure) is in charge of the animation and TMS Entertainment is producing the anime. The cast includes:
- Andy: Yuichi Nakamura
- Fuuko Izumo: Mo Kahara
- Shen: Natsuki Hanae
- Void: Kenji Nomura
- Gena: Aoi Yuki
- Ewes: Maria Ise
- Billy: Rikiya Koyama
- Tatiana: Rie Kugimiya
- Above: Nobuhiko Okamoto
- Nico: Koji Yusa
- Apocalypse: Tomokazu Sugita
Yuki Yase directed the anime, which is based on a manga written by Yoshifumi Tozuka. The manga began serialization in 2020 in Weekly Shonen Jump magazine.VIZ Medialicensed in English and described the premise as:
All Fuuko wants is a passionate romance like the one in her favorite shojo manga. Unfortunately, her capacity for misfortune makes this impossible. But just as Fuuko hits rock bottom, Andy sweeps her off her feet—literally! She has now become Andy’s unwilling test subject as he works to find a way to give Misfortune a stroke large enough to kill him for good. However, when the couple discover that a secret organization is after them, it postpones Andy’s funeral plans.
Hulu will stream Undead Unluck anime in the usa. The premiere is scheduled for October 6, 2023.
