The Uncle from the other world anime received a commemorative finale preview and trailer as the series reached season 1 ending on March 8. The anime aired for a total of 13 episodes. Check out the trailer:
The anime began airing in the summer 2022 anime season, but was delayed and eventually restarted airing in the fall 2022 season. However, due to the spread of COVID-19 in China, the airing of the finale was delayed.
Uncle from the other world the animation is animated by studio Atelier Pontdarc and directed by Shigeki Kawai. Meanwhile, Kazuhiro Ota is working as character designer and chief animation director, and Kenta Ihara is writing and working on series composition. Check out the new preview:
The main cast includes:
- Takehito Koyasu as Ojisan/Uncle,

- Mikako Komatsu as Fujimiya
- Aoi Yuki as Mabel
- Aki Toyosaki as Alicia

Uncle from the other world is based on a manga by Hotondoshindeiru. Yen Press licensed it in English and described the plot as:
Seventeen years ago, Takafumi’s uncle fell into a coma, but now he has returned as a man risen from his grave. Takafumi soon discovers two strange things: His uncle values video games above all else, and, although in a coma, he has actually been transported to another world as some sort of heroic guardian! Now Takafumi not only has to live with an uncle who is literally magical, but he also has to catch up to the boy with two decades of history – smartphones, high-speed internet, modern anime tropes… and the traumatic result of the 90s console war!
