Uncle From Another World Episode 8 Postponed Due to COVID-19

Episode 8 of the ongoing comedy anime Uncle from the other world will be postponed. The series’ production studio, Atelier Pontdarc, and other related parties have been affected by the rapid increase in cases of COVID-19 in Japan, the release said. The Production Committee also pledges to continue to make the health and safety of the personnel involved in this work its number one priority.

The schedule for episode 8 and beyond has yet to be announced. The series had also previously postponed its broadcast due to the outbreak of COVID-19 in July last year. Netflix is streaming the anime worldwide, with a 3-week delay for Europe and North America; during the first delay it caught up. The program of shows for the month of September is out:

September 7: Episode 3 airs again
September 14: Episode 4 airs again
September 21: Episode 5 rebroadcast
September 28: Rebroadcast of episode 6

Uncle from the other world the anime adaptation is based on a manga series by Hotondoshindeiru. Kadokawa Shoten’s ComicWalker serialization began in June 2018. Shigeki Kawai directed the anime with Kazuhiro Ota as chief animation director and character designer.
