Uma Musume Pretty Derby Season 3 revealed a visual teaser and trailer, along with an air date set for sometime this year. Studio Kai animated the series under the direction of Kei Oikawa.
Uma Musume Pretty Derbyis a mixed media franchise focused on horse racing. The main characters are horse girls. The franchise was created by Cygames. It started as a manga with a titleUma Musume Pretty Derby: Haru Urara Ganbaru!by Huan Yu (ZECO). The manga was serialized on the Cycomis website in 2016.Starting gate! Uma Musume Pretty Derbythe manga has also been serialized since 2017. Separately titledUma Musume: Cinderella Grayalso exists. A new manga titled, Uma Musume Pretty Derby Uma Musumeshiwill begin serialization on March 1.
The mobile game launched in 2018, and a TV anime by PAWorks aired in the spring of that year.UmayonA chibi spin-off that adapted the manga of the same name premiered in 2020. The anime ran for 12 episodes and was animated by DMM.futureworks and W-Toon Studio. The second season from Studio Kai premiered in 2021. A new anime project from the franchise premiered this spring. It is titled Uma Musume Pretty Derby: The Road to the Top.
