
Trigun Stampede releases opening, introduces new cast members
The Trigun Stampede anime has released its opening sequence as well as details on new cast members. The first episode titled “No man’s land”, premiering on January 7.
The opening theme song is titled “TOMBI” and is performed by Japanese hip-hop artist Kvi Baba. Newly announced cast members are Shigeru Chiba (Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure: Unbreakable Diamond, Dragon Ball Z) as Nebraska and Kenji Nomura (One Piece, Drifters) as Gofsef.


CGI studio Orange animated the series with Kenji Muto as director. The main actors for the anime include:

- Yumiri Hanamori as Young Knives

Trigun Stampedeis based onTrigunmanga series by Yasuhiro Nightow that was serialized in Monthly Shonen Captain from April 1995 to January 1997 and then moved to Young King OURs where it remained from October 1997 to March 2007. The manga received an anime adaptation by Madhouse, which consisted of twenty-six episodes, aired from April to September 1998. It also received an anime film titled Trigun: Badlands Rumble in 2010.
A dark horsehas licensed the manga in English, describing the plot as:
In the forbidding desert world of Gunsmoke, a mysterious bounty hangs over Vash the Stampede’s head, and the gun-toting pacifist can’t seem to find a moment’s respite. Vash is no ordinary pistolero equipped with a weapon capable of punching holes in a planet, which explains why the locals tremble at the mere mention of his name. But sixty billion double dollars is no ordinary bounty, and every lucky psychopath in creation is out to claim you dead or alive—preferably dead!
