K-pop boy band Tomorrow X Together (or TXT) have announced details of their upcoming mini-album, ‘The Name Chapter: Temptation’.
The group’s new album – their fifth mini-album in all – “minisode 2: Thursday’s Child” will follow in May.
The release was announced today (December 14) via a video on the band’s social media. In the clip, the “Thursday Baby” era logo is seen contorted and morphed from black, red and beige into shades of green and pink.
A phone whisperer says, “It’s so sweet, but I should get my name” when played back, fans have discovered.
‘The Name: Temptation’ chapter will go on sale on January 27, 2023. Pre-orders will begin tomorrow (December 15), with more details to be announced soon, according to an announcement on Weverse.
The album was already presented in a trailer inspired by JM Barrie’s Peter Pan. On December 3 at midnight KST, the boy band shared a six-minute trailer in which they dramatically retold the story of Peter Pan, Wendy, and Neverland through dance, using a series of animated backgrounds to set each scene.
The cinematic clip ends with the group sitting in a bedroom in a house that rises into the sky. Opening the door for him, Huening Kai looks at his companions before leaping into the clouds.
HYBE announced plans for TXT’s comeback at their annual briefing in early November, where they shared that the group would be releasing a mini-album in January 2023. Its title was later revealed to be “The Name Chapter.” at the end of the year. the group’s performance at the Melon Music Awards on November 26.
The upcoming record marks the beginning of a new series for the boyband, following their previous releases “The Dream Chapter” and “The Chaos Chapter.” His May 2022 mini album “minisode 2: Thursday’s Child” was an interlude between the latter and his upcoming “The Name Chapter”.
In a five-star review of ‘minisode 2: Thursday’s Child’, NME’s Rhian Daly wrote that the record “continues to position Tomorrow X Together as the voices of their generation (and beyond) with songs of both quality and originality. sublime. by virtue and under the spell of life”.
