Tom DeLonge Says Blink-182’s New Album Is “Just A Few Weeks Away”
The next Blink-182 album could be coming soon according to Tom DeLonge.
DeLonge revealed today (Aug. 26) that the pop-punk band’s next album is “just weeks (days) away,” as are its accompanying music videos. However, no concrete release date or additional information about the album has been revealed.
“@blink182’s music video and album are weeks (days) away. We’re finally here,” DeLonge wrote. Earlier this week, DeLonge shared on Instagram that backstage image shooting an upcoming music video.
DeLonge has been teasing the album following his comments last month that the upcoming record will be his “best album” to date. Opinions on the upcoming LP were shared in an interview promoting his latest collaboration with Fender and announcing his new limited edition Stratocaster guitar.
“I still think that we are writing our best songs. I think that the album we are going to put out is probably the best that we have ever done,” he began to say, before reflecting perform their recent live performances in the United States. .
This isn’t the first time the members have teased their next album in 2023. Earlier this year, drummer Travis Barker told fans the project would be finished before they go on tour next year. In addition, the band has released one single so far, “Edging,” and DeLonge also promised that the record contained some of their “most progressive” music to date.
The forthcoming LP is the first full release from the classic lineup – DeLonge, Barker and Mark Hoppus – since they reunited last year.
Blink-182 are set to begin their UK concert tour later this year. They kick off in Glasgow, with back-to-back shows at the OVO Hydro Stadium on September 1 and 2, before making stops in cities including London, Birmingham and Manchester.
