The popular Japanese leaker Ryokutya confirmed by a leak in the next issue of the magazine Shōnen Weekly Magazine that there would be a second live-action film based on the manga written and illustrated by ken wakui, tokyo avengers, which is in production. The premiere is scheduled for 2023 in theaters in Japan, and the production team and cast remain unchanged.
The first film was announced in February 2020, directed by Tsutomu Hanabusawith dashes of it Izumi Takahashi and music composed by but a soul. The cast includes Takumi Kitamura, Yuki Yamada, Yosuke Sugino, free suzuki,, Hayato Isomura, Shotaro Mamiya, Ryō Yoshizawa Y Mio Imada. The film was scheduled to be released in theaters in Japan on October 9, 2020, but was delayed to July 2021 due to the ongoing effects of COVID-19.
ken wakui publication of the manga began in the magazine Shōnen Weekly Magazine from the publisher Kodansha in March 2017. A twenty-four-episode anime adaptation produced by studios LIDEN FILMSled Koichi Hatsumi and scripts written by Yasuyuki Mutowhich premiered in the season of Spring-2021 (April-June) in Japan.
Summary of Tokyo Avengers
Takemichi Hanagaki’s second year of high school was the highlight of his life. He had respect, a group of friends he could count on, and even a girlfriend. But that was twelve years ago. Today he is a nobody: a rickety nothing that children make fun of and is constantly forced to apologize to his youngest boss. A sudden news of Manji’s brutal Tokyo gang murder of his brother’s only girlfriend only adds insult to injury. Half a second before a train ends his miserable life forever, Takemichi flashes back to the same day twelve years ago, when he was still dating Hinata Tachibana.
After being forced to revive on the same day he started going down, Takemichi meets Hinata’s little brother. Without thinking, he acknowledges his apparent death before going back to the past. Takemichi urges him to protect his sister before returning to the future without explanation. Miraculously, he is not dead. Stranger still, the future has changed. It seems that Takemichi can change the flow of time. When given the chance to prevent the tragic death of his ex-girlfriend at the hands of the Tokyo Manji gang, Takemichi decides to fly through time to change the course of the future.
