The upcoming The sorrows of an imprisoned vampire princess anime revealed a preview, trailer, and opening and ending theme songs on Thursday. The opening song “Red Liberation” is performed by fripSide while MIMiNARI sings the ending song “Nemurenai feat Tomori Kusunoki”. The latest preview features the main duo, Terakomari Gandesblood and Villhaze, with Sakuna’s memoir.
Studio Project No. 9 animated the anime with Tatsuma Minamikawa as director. Keiichiro Ochi is composing the series, while Tomoyuki Shitaya is handling the character designs and Go Shiina is composing the music. The anime is based on the light novel series written by Kotei Kobayashi and illustrated by Riichu. SB Creative has published the series since January 2020 andYen Presslicensed the light novel in English.
The series previously revealed a trailer featuring the cast, which includes:

- Sayumi Suzushiro as Vilhaize
- Yoko Hikasa as Karen Helvetius
- Manaka Iwami as Sakuna Memoir
- Fairuz Ai as Nelia Cunningham
- Miyuri Shimabukuro as Carla Amatsu
The synopsis of the anime is as follows:
Terakomari Gandesblood is the daughter of the prestigious Gandesblood family in Mulnite Imperial.
She lived in confinement for three years as she suffered from a lack of magic-wielding skills, an inability to exercise, and an inability to grow taller. She can’t even drink blood despite being a vampire.
But her loving father found her a crazy job. She was appointed as the new commander of the Mulnite Imperial Army’s 7th Squad of Thugs and Criminals. The title name is “Shichiguten”!
This is the only job for a strong candidate and has to start a war against other countries every 3 months and defeat them. It’s a very tough job and the members of her army are ex-criminals and are so willing to rebel against her.
She definitely wanted to refuse this offer, but she had no chance to refuse since it was appointed by the emperor himself.
If the servants found out about her, it would be a real disaster…however, komari faked it, charmed people, and fulfilled her duties!
