The trailer for the new Rurouni Kenshin anime has surpassed 2 million views on YouTube

The previously released Rurouni Kenshin the trailer surpassed 2 million views on YouTube. The upcoming anime reboot will premiere in 2023. The main cast of the anime includes Soma Saito as Kenshin Himura and Rie Takashi as Karu Kamiya.

The new anime adaptation was announced during Jump Festa 2022, which took place on December 19, 2021. LIDENFILMS will be animating the series. The new video features the cast of the show:

Rurouni Kenshin is a Japanese manga series written by Nobuhiro Watsuki. Shueisha published it in Weekly Shonen Jump magazine from 1994 to 1999 and has a total of 28 volumes available. Kaworu Kurosaki, Watsuki’s wife, is also writing a manga sequel titled Rurouni Kenshin: The Hokkaido Arc, with Watsuki as the illustrator. The same publisher has serialized it since 2017 and currently has 7 volumes in circulation.

Viz Mediapublished the original Rurouni Kenshin manga series in English and describes the plot as:
One hundred and forty years ago in Kyoto, with the arrival of the American “Black Ships”, a warrior appeared who, cutting people with his bloody blade, earned the nameHitokiri, killer! The series received an anime adaptation that ran from 1996 to 1998 and had a total of 95 episodes, adapting the manga from the beginning to The Hell of Kyoto a rainbow. The franchise also received 5 live-action films from 2012 to 2021 that adapted the entire Rurouni Kenshin manga series as well as the prequel OVA titled Rurouni Kenshin: Trust and Betrayal.
