
The Rolling Stones confirm new album ‘Hackney Diamonds’ and share single ‘Angry’
The Rolling Stones have officially announced their new album, ‘Hackney Diamonds’, and have shared details of new single ‘Angry’.
It was confirmed in a press release earlier this week that the veteran rockers’ 24th album will be their first original since 2005’s “A Bigger Bang.”
Band members Mick Jagger, Keith Richards and Ronnie Wood have now discussed the new record live at the Hackney Empire this evening (September 6) with The Tonight Show hosted by Jimmy Fallon.
Unveiling the new album, Mick Jagger said: “We’re here to present our new single called ‘Angry’ and the new video. Our new album ‘Hackney Diamonds’ is also out on 20 Oct. “You can watch the video, featuring Euphoria actress Sydney Sweeney, below.
“We have to make a record that we really like,” said Jagger of the band’s goal with the album. “We are happy with it and I hope all of you are. [también]“.
He also confirmed that there are 12 tracks on the new record, two of which were written by former drummer Charlie Watts, and that the band started working on the new songs in late 2022, with the goal of having the album finished by mid-2020. year 2023.
Speaking on the video call, Sweeney told Fallon: “I freaked out, called my family and brought my mom.”
And he added: “I didn’t know it would be the first single … it stuck with me.”

Last month the new record appeared to be announced via a cryptic ad in a local newspaper, and last week the band teased a global “Hackney Diamonds” announcement with an augmented reality video clip and website .
They also submitted a snippet of their new single, “Angry,” via a website called dontgetangrywithme.com.
“Hackney may be at the heart of Hackney Diamonds, but this is a truly global moment that we want to share with fans around the world via YouTube,” The Rolling Stones said in a statement about the event.
The Stones’ last album was an LP of blues covers, ‘Blue & Lonesome’ (2016).
For his part, Mick Jagger recently celebrated his 80th birthday, and Keith Richards, Ronnie Wood and Nile Rodgers wished him well.
