The popular web series The God of High School has come to an end

The platform Web reported that the popular webtoon was written and illustrated by Yong Je Park, God of the High City, ended after eleven years in publication. According to the statement, the publication of the epilogue chapter is still pending.

Yong Je Park webtoon publishing started through the service naver webtoon from the publisher Naver Corporation in April 2011, following up with an official publication in English that began in Online Webtoon in July 2014. Since then, the work has inspired a video game for smartphones and an anime adaptation produced by the studios MAP and issued between July and September 2020.

Author Yong-Je Park studied cartoon animation at Sunchon National University. Inspired by the action genre and dragon ballPark debuted with “Tough guy” (厈膜), published in naver webtoon from 2008 to 2009. This manhwa, set in high school fights in Park’s hometown of Suncheon, was well received and inspired him to make a “completely unrealistic action drama” in which high school students from all over the world would compete to be the God of the High City.
