The legendary Hideo Kojima praises Lycoris Recoil: It’s a crazy setting and introduction!

Legendary game developer Hideo Kojima, best known for Konami Metal gear series, shared his thoughts on the current original anime, previews of Lycoris Recoil, and commented on his viewing experience with his 1 million Twitter followers.

“I’m not used to Amazon Prime,,” the internationally renowned game developer began his tweet. “So I had a hard time searching for “CODA”.‘. The Oscar winner CODA was added to Amazon Prime Video’s streaming library in Japan on July 21. Kojima goes on to say that the action-packed anime caught his attention during his search for the platform.

“I stumbled across an anime that sounds like Lycoris Pizza? called Lycoris Recoil. They hire a hitman with a license to kill in a cafe?! That’s some crazy setting and intro! I realized this, like it’s an anime from Japan?, and found I’d skipped it until episode 3. Where’s episode 4!” The anime is updated on Amazon Prime Video on Tuesday, about 2 days after it airs in Japan, meaning the fourth episode will be available on July 25th.

Studio A-1 Pictures is producing Lycoris Recoil under Sword Art Online Directed by series designer Shingo Adachi. Ben-To light novel author Asaura wrote the original story while This art club has a problem! Manga author Imigimuru is responsible for the anime’s character designs.

Imigimuru retweeted the above post and briefly expressed his happiness: “I-I’m so happy… In response to a tweet, he even said “It is so unexpected that I am in shock“.

Asaura, on the other hand, quote-tweet Kojima post: “The ongoing situation no longer makes sense to me. with emoticons shaking in fear of the situation: ｶﾞｸｶﾞｸ((( ；ﾟДﾟ)))ﾌﾞﾙﾌﾞﾙ”

Hideo Kojima learned more about the anime and tweeted “I see you’re calling [the anime] LicoReco. and Asaura reacted with awe again: “Director Kojima deepens his insight…!!!” with the same shaking emoji.
