The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel reveals a special clip ahead of its January premiere

The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel – Northern Warhave revealed a special music video featuring the ending theme song “proud hero” by Nami Nakagawa (MIT GATHERING). “The story so far” by Chisato Akita (MIT GATHERING) is the opening theme song, as revealed along with a trailer earlier this year. Broadcast begins on January 8 (DMM TV will have an early broadcast starting on January 6).

Studio Tatsunoko Production is in charge of the production and the director is Hidekazu Sato. The main cast for The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel – Northern War the anime includes:

  • Makoto Koichi as Lavian Winslet
  • Yuichi Nakamura as Martin S. Robinson
  • Emmy Bridcutt as Iseria Frost
  • Yuki Ono as Talion Drake
  • Inori Minase as Altina
  • Takayuki Kondo as Rogan
  • Mie Sonozaki as Jaina

The anime is inspired by the 2013 role-playing game developed by Nihon Falcom. The plot is described as follows:
The year 1205 of the Septian calendar.
Lavian is a young girl born and raised in Northern Umbria, the poorest region in the northwestern part of the Zemurian continent. To protect her hometown and prove that she is different from her grandfather Vlad, who was once revered as a hero but betrayed Northern Umbria, she volunteers to join the Northern Hunters, the largest and most famous hunting group on the continent, and to fulfill his duties.
One day, Lavian, who has repeatedly broken discipline in his devotion to duty, is ordered to form a platoon with Martin, Iseria, and Talion on a reckless reconnaissance mission to the Erebon Empire.
To get information about the unknown “Hero of the Empire” that threatens Northern Umbria…
