The last tickets for Foo Fighters’ Taylor Hawkins tribute concert at Wembley Stadium are on sale

The last tickets for Foo Fighters’ big concert at Wembley Stadium this weekend in tribute to late drummer Taylor Hawkins have gone on sale.

Hawkins, the band’s drummer since 1997, died in Bogotá, Colombia, on March 25. I was 50 years old.

On Saturday (September 3), together with the drummer’s family, Foo Fighters will celebrate Hawkins’ memory and music at a special concert in London. The “Taylor Hawkins Tribute Concerts” will also take over the Kia Forum in Los Angeles on September 27th.

The huge line-up for the concert in London was recently completed with Metallica’s Lars Ulrich, Blink-182’s Travis Barker, AC/DC frontman Brian Johnson, Kesha and Dave Grohl’s daughter Violet.

They welcome huge first acts for the London show featuring Liam Gallagher and Mark Ronson, alongside Queens Of The Stone Age’s Josh Homme, Supergrass, Queens’ Brian May and Roger Taylor, Wolfgang Van Halen, The Pretenders’ Chrissie Hynde and many others. .

Doors to the concert will open at 2.30pm BST, with the music starting at 4.30pm sharp.

It was also recently announced that both tribute concerts will be broadcast live worldwide on Paramount’s streaming service in the United States and via MTV’s YouTube channel worldwide. More information here.

A statement about the shows on the Foo Fighters website reads: “As one of the most respected and beloved figures in modern music, Taylor’s monolithic talent and magnetic personality have endeared him to millions of fans, peers, friends and legends music around the world, millions. of people mourning his untimely death on March 25, with a passionate and sincere tribute from fans and musicians Taylor idolized.

“The Taylor Hawkins Tribute Concerts will bring together some of those artists, the Hawkins family and, of course, her Foo Fighters brothers to celebrate Taylor’s memory and legacy as a global rock icon – his peers and inspirations playing the -a song he fell in love with. with him and brought to life.”

Over the weekend (August 28), the Red Hot Chili Peppers presented their Global Icon award to Hawkins at the 2022 MTV VMAs.

After performing “Black Summer” and “Can’t Stop”, the Red Hot Chili Peppers accepted the Global Icon award. As drummer Chad Smith took the microphone, he paid tribute to Hawkins, saying, “There’s another music icon, a global icon, and his name is my brother Taylor Hawkins. I want to dedicate this to Taylor and his family and I miss him every day.” And let the Hawk fly, let the brother fly.
