The Killers performed their latest single “Your Side Of Town” live at Reading 2023 – see performance images below.
During their headline performance at the festival yesterday (September 26), Brandon Flowers and company performed ‘Your Sound Of Town’ live for the first time. Watch a snippet of the performance below.
Released earlier this week, “Your Side of Town” is the band’s first single of the year, as well as their first release since last year’s single “boy”.
At another point in their performance, the group brought fans on stage to play drums on “Reasons Unknown.” The fan, named Ozzy, had a sign asking to play drums with them, which became a tradition during The Killers’ performances.
“We have a big stipulation,” frontman Brandon Flowers asked Ozzy, before letting him on stage. “Let me see your face? I like your gesture, but where are you? You’re from the UK. Let the boy up.” According to Flowers, the drummer is from “the outskirts of Bath”. Ozzy wore a Cristiano Ronaldo T-shirt and kept the tempo slower for the band, while Flowers urged him to go faster.
During their performance, the band recalled that the festival was called “Reading Rock”, and frontman Brandon Flowers said, “You know they used this Reading Rock?”, before adding, “We going back in time tonight. happens to be the purveyors of some of the best rock and roll in the world.”
