The Kaiko Sareta Ankoku Heishi series is getting an anime adaptation

The Kaiko Sareta Ankoku Heishi (30-Dai) is no slouch in Second Life the series is getting an anime adaptation. It is set to premiere in January 2023. The light novel is written by Rokujuyon Okazawa and illustrated by Sage Jo. Shosetsuka ni Naro first serialized it from November 2018 to July 2020, before being acquired by Kodansha, who serialized it from August 2019 under the banner Kodansha Ranobe Bunko.

The novel also received a manga adaptation by Rurekuchie, which began serialization in Kodansha’s Young Magazine 3rd on August 6, 2019. It then moved to Monthly Young Magazine on May 20, 2021.

The novel follows the story of Dariel, a 30-year-old dark soldier who is dismissed from his position due to his inability to use magic while in a demon army. To start over, he retreats to a village where he uses his abilities to accept requests for help.
