The upcoming The girl I like forgot her glassess anime has revealed the preview images for episode 1, which is scheduled to air on Tuesday, July 4. GoHands Studio animated the series with Susumu Kudo acting as lead director and Katsumasa Yokomine as director. See preview images:
Shion Wakayama voices the main character Ai Mie, while Masahiro Ito stars as Kaede Komura. Tsuzuri performs the opening track ‘Name’, while the final track titled ‘Megane Go Round’ will be sung by Masayoshi Oishi alongside Masahiro Ito and Shion Wakayama under the newly formed trio Masayoshi ga Megane wo Wasureta.
Tamazo Yanagi is in charge of writing the scenarios and Takayuki Uchida is the character designer. Jimmythumb P composed the music, while Makoto Furuta, Keiji Tani and Takayuki Uchida are credited as main animation directors.
The anime is based on the manga by Koume Fujichika, which was originally released on the author’s Twitter account in April 2018. Square Enix’s Monthly Gangan Joker magazine later acquired the title in November of that year. Comikey published the English edition digitally and they describe the plot as:
“If we can keep getting closer like this, I’ll be happy…” Kaede Komura has a huge crush on his seat partner, Mie-san. However, she has terrible eyesight and tends to either forget or break her glasses! Komura-kun offers her a helping hand, and as they grow closer, their feelings for each other also grow.
