The first Slam Dunk gets a short trailer featuring the opening theme song

The first dunkanime film released a short trailer featuring the opening theme song “Dai Zero Kan” from 10-FEET on Wednesday. The premiere date is set for December 3. On Tuesday, the anime released a countdown trailer featuring Takenori Akagi.

At the beginning of the trailer, the characters form a circle and one of them shouts “1, 2, 3” to fire up for the match, with the release date, December 3rd written as “12.3”, appearing according to the shout, and following the opening theme song.

Studios Toei Animation and DandeLion Animation Studio animated the film based on Takehiko InoueStudsmanga that was serialized in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump from October 1990 to June 1996 for a total of 31 volumes. The series has surpassed 120 million copies in circulation. The author of the manga directed and wrote the screenplay for the adaptation.

Viz Media licensed the manga for English versions and all volumes have been published. The official site describes the plot ofthe first volumeas:
