According to the manga written and illustrated by Tatsuki Fujimoto, Chain Saw ManJanuary 29th is a birthday power, one of the main characters of the franchise. For those who don’t remember her, her description reads:
- Power is a possessed Public Safety Demon Slayer, part of Makima’s squad. Denji is a co-worker and good friend, sharing an apartment with Aki Hayakawa. He lacks manners and often lies to avoid punishment. She loves her cat Nyako very much, to the point that she is willing to sacrifice Denji’s life to save Nyako, who was captured by the Bat Demon.
Because of the anime adaptation Chain Saw Man Just finished a few weeks ago, the artists have already been quite active posting images of the character:
The series was broadcast during the season of Autumn-2022 (October-December) and there was a total of twelve episodes, and the scene crunchyroll which dominates its distribution in the West. On the other hand, Fujimoto started with the publication of the manga Chain Saw Man in the magazine Weekly Shōnen jump from the publisher Shueisha in December 2018, completing the first part in December 2020. The second part of the work was moved to the digital service Shōnen Jump Pluswhere it has been published since July 2022.
Summary for Chain Saw Man
The story takes place in a world where Demons threaten the peace of the people, making them targets for elimination. Denji is a depressed young man who sold some of his organs and works as a lumberjack and devil hunter to pay his late father’s debts. Denji (who is also a demon) has a dog named Pochita, who has a chainsaw and uses it to do his work.
This is explained by the fact that humans can make contracts with demons. After returning home from a job, Yakuza asks Denji to infiltrate a building and kill another demon. However, the plan to assassinate him turned out to be a trap as part of the Yakuza’s deal with the devil, which gained them more power. But Pochita comes to Denji’s aid and bails him out.
