‘Terraria’ Update 1.4.3 Transfers ‘Don’t Starve’ to the Console

The Terraria 1.4.3 update has been released for both mobile and console versions of the game, bringing a ton of new content to PC – including a massive Don’t Starve cross – over and many new items.

On Wednesday (April 27), developer Terraria Re-Logic announced that updates 1.4.1 to 1.4.3 have been added to Xbox, PlayStation, Nintendo Switch, and mobile platforms.

Coming up with various updates for PC, 1.4.3 is packed with content that both console and mobile gamers can enjoy. This includes a crossover with Don’t Starve, which adds 25 items from Klei Entertainment’s survival game and more. There’s also a new world seed inspired by Don’t Starve called The Constant and a boss called Deerclops, which can be summoned in the Ice Biome.

Finally, the Don’t Starve transition also introduces some new pets and summons for players to meet, including Chester’s favorite of Don’t Starve fans, which will now serve as a walking port in Terraria.

In addition to the crossover, there is much more for fans to enjoy. The winners of the Vanity Terraria Contest have been added in the form of six new armor, all of which can be crafted from materials acquired early in the game.

Update 1.4.3 also adds the global seed of MK10, a brilliantly lit world that serves as “a tribute to all our fans and their support over the first decade of Terraria.”

There’s also a new NPC called The Princess, even more items, and a revamp of the Vanity system that allows players to carry more layered items. The console and mobile update also brings a number of platform-specific updates, such as keyboard and mouse support for mobile gamers.
