A leak from social network Weibo confirmed that the anime adaptation of the light novels had been written by Yuu Tanaka and illustrated by LLO, Tensei Shitara Ken Deshita (Reincarnated as a Sword), will have a second season. Summary of Tensei Shitara Ken Deshita
The hero differs from the main character of isekai stories by the fact that he is reincarnated as a sword. He begins his search as he appears in the middle of a forest infested with beasts, only to find an injured girl running frantically for her life. Saving her from her attacks, the two meet and the girl introduces herself as Fran. He has a difficult past, as he suffered slavery and abuse from his tribe, the Black Cats. Because the hero is unable to remember the name of his previous life, the young and cruel Fran gives him the name “Shishou” and he becomes a hero.
