Ten Count Anime Gets Visual Teaser, Cast, and 2023 Premiere

BL anime Ten numbers finally has a format and a release date: a theatrical anime (meaning it will be shown in theaters) with a premiere date of 2023. Rihito Takarai’s adaptation of the story was first set to premiere on television in 2020, but was delayed because the team wanted to further develop the direction of the story. A visual teaser was revealed and staff information was revealed:

EAST FISH STUDIO and SynergySP took care of the animation. Toyama wrote the script and directed, while Tomomi Shimazaki was in charge of character design. The cast has also been revealed:

  • Shinnosuke Tachibana as Tadaomi Shirotani
  • Tomoaki Maeno as Riku Kurose

The Ten numbers the manga was serialized from 2013 to 2017 in Shinshokan’s Dear+magazine. It ends with 46 chapters collected in six volumes. On Viz Media SuBLime published the entire manga in English and described the plot as:
Corporate secretary Shirotani suffers from obsessive-compulsive disorder. One day he meets Kurose, a therapist who offers to take him through a ten-step program to cure him of his compulsion. As the two progress through each of the ten steps, Shirotani’s attraction to his advisor grows.
