Taylor Swift won big at the 2022 MTV EMAs: The full list of winners

Taylor Swift was the big winner of the MTV EMAs 2022, which took place on Sunday at the PSD Bank Dome in Düsseldorf (Germany). The “Anti-Hero” singer took home four awards: Best Artist, Best Video, Best Pop and Best Long Form Video for “All Too Well (10 Minute Version) (Taylor Version).”

Despite having won many EMAs in the past, Swift has not been at the awards ceremony since 2012, when she closed the ceremony with a circus-themed performance of “We Are Never Getting Back Together.” During her acceptance speech for best video, Swift told her German fans that she “can’t wait” to see them on their upcoming tour, which has only announced US dates so far.

“Sometimes I think about how this short film and this moment never happened,” he said. “The fans wanted this to happen.”

Nicki Minaj won best hip-hop and best song for “Super Freaky Girl,” while Harry Styles won best live.

David Guetta won Best Collaboration for “I’m Good (Blue),” featuring Bebe Rexha, and Best Electronic, while Seventeen won Best New and Best Thrust. The show’s host, Rita Ora, scored Best “Personal Style” Watch, and Good Video went to Sam Smith feat. Kim Petras for “Unholy.” Blackpink won in the latest EMA category, Best Metaverse Performance, for their PUBG Mobile Virtual Concert.

Guetta and Rexha kicked off the night with “I’m Good (Blue),” while Best Rock winners Muse gave an explosive performance of “Will of the People.” Later, the Ukrainian rap group Kalush Orchestra offered a powerful show of support for their country. Ava Max, Stormzy, OneRepublic, Gayle, Lewis Capaldi and Tate McRae were also present, as well as PINALL, Äyanna and Nasty C. Gorillaz (Best Alternative winners) and Thundercat performed “Scracker Island.”

This year’s MTV EMA Generation Changer Award was presented to three women from Ukraine – Lina Deshvar, Anna Kutova and Anfisa Yakovina – who are activists in the humanitarian crisis in Ukraine. Their work includes providing shelter to refugees, evacuating and caring for families with children, adolescents and young people with disabilities, and offering art and group therapy to estranged women and families. Honorees were honored during the MTV EMA red carpet, which aired live on MTV worldwide and on MTVEMA.com.
