Taylor Swift is the first artist to fill the entire Top 10 of Billboard’s Hot 100 Songs chart.

Taylor Swift is the first artist in history to land 10 songs on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.

The pop star has scored one of the most historic weeks in the 64-year history of the US singles chart with this feat, surpassing Drake, who charted nine of the Hot 100 songs in one week in September 2019. 2021 [vía Billboard].

The 10 songs on the US chart come from Swift’s 10th album, “Midnights,” which was released on October 21 and has since broken multiple records. “Midnights” has topped the Billboard 200 album chart for the longest week of release in seven years.

Swift has surpassed Drake and The Beatles for the most titles to top the Hot 100 in a single week. His Top 10 monopoly surpasses those artists, who dominated the Top 5 for one week each in 2021 and 1964 respectively.

The pop titan also has the top 10 hits in Billboard chart history, with 40 (surpassing Madonna’s 38). Among all artists, he trails only Drake (59 Top 10s).

The singer celebrated the news today (October 31), writing on Twitter: “10 out of 10 on the Hot 100? On my 10th album…”. I’m devastated.”

Additionally, Swift surpasses Drake and The Beatles for the most Hot 100 titles in a single week. Before Drake broke into the top five on September 18, 2021, The Beatles were at numbers 1-5 on the chart (as of April 4, 1964).

Billboard’s Hot 100 charts include all genres of US streaming (official audio and video), radio airplay, and sales data. All listings (dated this Saturday, November 5) are updated tomorrow (November 1).

‘Mignights’ posted the biggest week for an album in nearly seven years, selling 1.578 million copies according to Luminate (via Billboard). Adele’s “25” in 2015 was the last album to achieve a high number of sales in its first week of release, which broke the scale with more than 3 million units.

This Top 10 achievement is the latest in a string of records Swift has broken with her new studio album, breaking Spotify’s record for the most streamed album within a day of its release. It also broke Apple Music’s record for the most streamed first-day pop album ever, and Amazon Music’s record for the most first-day streams by any artist.

Swift also scored a double on the official UK charts, as “Midnights” and her single “Anti-Hero” hit number one on the official album and singles charts at the same time.

In a four-star review, NME’s Hannah Mylrea called Swift’s ‘Midnights’ a “brilliant return to pure pop.”

“The pop titan’s tenth album strays from her light-hearted roots and recent re-recording project, offering brighter, more future-oriented sounds.”
