Slipknot return to include ‘Left Behind’ in their final set of Download 2023

Slipknot put on an amazing performance at this year’s Download festival, bringing “Left Behind” back to their set list. Check out the full setlist from the concert below, as well as some fan-shot footage.

Heavy metal veterans Slipknot took to the stage last night (June 11) for the final night of Donington festival and closed the event with an energetic performance.

Despite it being their fifth headline performance at the festival, the band still managed to demonstrate why they draw such huge crowds to their concerts, and arguably the biggest time of them celebrating their ending theme song “Spit It Out”.

In addition to countless fan favorites like “Duality,” “Psychosocial,” and “People = Shit,” Corey Taylor and company performed tracks from their latest album, “The End, So Far”: “Yen” and “The Dying Song”. (Time to Sing)”.

One of the highlights of the 18-song set, however, was the return of founder Shawn ‘Clown’ Crahan, who took to the stage for the first time after announcing he was pulling out of concerts to support his wife due to medical issues health. mental health.

Also at the show, all nine members – including Craig’s currently unnamed representative – took the stage and put “Left Behind” back on the set list. Performed in the middle of the performance, the song is from the band’s hit 2001 album “Iowa,” and was performed for the first time since their last tour in 2022.

Bring Me The Horizon were in attendance on Friday (June 9), and Amy Lee was joined by Nova Twins and Amy Lee from Evanescence.

They also used the space to present their upcoming album, “POST HUMAN: NeX GEn”, and announced an upcoming UK & Ireland tour starting in January 2024 with stops in Sheffield , London, Manchester and many more.

Metallica, pioneers of thrash metal, was another of the headliners of Download 2023, who offered two completely different performances on Thursday 8th and Saturday 10th June. Vowing not to repeat a song in either set, the quartet performed hits like “Master Of Puppets,” “Seek And Destroy” and “Leper Messiah” in their first performance, and classics like “Enter Sandman,” ” One” and “For. Whose The Bells Toll” came second.

The band also headlined their performances after it was revealed that the members would be donating £40,000 to Help The Homeless, a charity based near the Download Festival site dedicated to supporting the homeless.

In other Slipknot news, last week the members dropped a surprise new EP, ‘Adderall’, and shared a couple of new videos – one for ‘Memories (Adderall – Rough Demo)’ and another for ‘Death March’, directed by Clown.
