Slam Dunk 2023 will be headlined by Enter Shikari and The Offspring

Slam Dunk Festival has confirmed that Enter Shikari and The Offspring will headline the 2023 event.

Slam Dunk will return to Hatfield Park on May 27th and Leeds Temple Newsam on May 28th. Enter Shikari and The Offspring will be joined by Creeper, Billy Talent and Bowling For Soup.

The festival has also confirmed exclusive reunions of The Academy Is and Kids In Glass Houses, which will celebrate the 15th anniversary of debut album “Smart Casual”.

“Slam Dunk 2008 dropped a day before the release of Smart Casual and started an unforgettable journey for our band,” said singer Aled Phillips.

“It’s really fitting that 15 years later we can come back and celebrate a special part of our career at Slam Dunk 2023. We hope to see some familiar faces there and some new faces, and we can’t waiting to go back. stage. It’s too long.”

Less Than Jake will also appear at Slam Dunk 2023 for a performance celebrating the 25th anniversary of their third album ‘Hello Rockview’.

Groups such as Four Year Strong, Malevolence, Holding Absence, Trash Boat, Zebrahead, Maggie Lindemann, Noahfinnce and Real Friends will also be present at Slam Dunk.

Enter Shikari’s Rou Reynolds said, “I’ve been buzzing with the idea of ​​Slam Dunk headlining again ever since our ‘Take To The Skies’ celebration in 2017. It’s a fantastic festival, achieving its goals in always, and has the added bonus of being able to cycle to the south as Hatfield is a nearby town!

“In fact, basically, this is going to be our biggest ‘indoor’ show, now that the festival has grown even bigger. I think playing outside is my favorite thing to do in life,” he continued it on. “It’s being able to look up and see the sky, with the vastness of people below, all sharing the same feelings and experience, so raw and beautiful and powerful.”

He said, “We’re already thinking about stage production ideas, we’re going to do everything we can to make it our biggest show ever.”

Over the weekend, Enter Shikari performed at Reading & Leeds Festival before Reynolds joined Pendulum on stage for a new remix of ‘Sorry You’re Not A Winner’.

Speaking to NME about how that collaboration came about, Reynolds said: “Gareth [McGrillen] and Rob [Swire] They got in touch and basically said they were thinking of doing a ‘Sorry You’re Not A Winner’ remix, and I was like, ‘Wow!’, a surreal message,” Reynolds explained.

“They sent it to me, and there’s a bunch of different demo changes on that track, so I was like, ‘This is really cool, what are they going to do with it? And it’s so good. It’s wonderful.’

He added that Enter Shikari is working on a new album and “it looks like it’s going to be a wall-to-wall smash.”
