Simple Minds have shared details of a UK and Ireland tour next spring.
The Scottish band have announced the new leg of their ‘Global Tour 2024’ tour after recently revealing dates in Australia and New Zealand next year.
Last year’s “40 Years Of Hits Tour” will continue and the most important since 1985.
Tickets for the UK and Ireland concerts will be on sale from 9am BST this Friday (September 8) here.
The UK and Ireland leg of the Simple Minds tour kicks off at the First Direct Arena in Leeds on March 3. Eight more UK shows will follow (minus one in Ireland, at the 3Arena in Dublin), finishing with a house show at the OVO Hydro in Glasgow on March 29.
Singer Jim Kerr said: “Concerts are the life of Simple Minds, it’s where we and our audience come together live and energized through music. Four decades after we started, this world tour will prove that Simple Minds still alive and kicking.”

Last year Simple Minds released their 19th album, ‘Direction Of The Heart’, which followed 2018’s ‘Walk Between Worlds’.
Meanwhile, last summer the band reportedly sold their “major musical interests” to major record label BMG, giving up the publishing rights to more than 240 of their songs.
