Shōnen Weekly Magazine launches second “World Manga Competition”

Requirements which the works must meet:

Participants can submit manga in Japanese, English, Korean, Chinese (simplified), Chinese (traditional), Russian, French, Spanish and Vietnamese. Vietnamese is a new addition to this year's competition. MediBang he will translate papers that are in languages ​​other than Japanese.

To enter, artists must upload their work to a page MediBang, add the tag “2nd MagazineContest” to publish your submissions and works on the website. All submitted works can be read on the site. The winning entries from last year’s competition are also available online.

The grand prize winner will receive 1 million yen (approximately US $ 9,000), be assigned an editor and receive comments. editorial staff. Last year, the first prize included the publication of the work in a manga entry Shonen Weekly Magazine in Póca Iris. This year, however, the website did not list the post as an award.

Winners will receive an additional 100,000 yen (US $ 900) each and comment editorial staff. In addition, the judges can make the decision to select a NO winner for any of the prizes. Works not selected for an award may also receive comments from the editors.

The contest started accepting entries on September 14th, the period of participation will end December 28th. Last year's competition featured more than 400 entries from all over the world.
