The first part of the film adaptation began streaming on December 20 on Netflix. The second part is scheduled for August 2023.
Yuki Kaji (Meliodas):
Elizabeth, who Meliodas risks everything to protect. Tristan, the hero of this story, is the fruit of their love. Just watching him fight is sure to be inspiring. Coincidentally, I myself recently became a father, so I felt deeply connected to Meliodas, who also became a father. Please join us and experience this new saga in the history of the Seven Deadly Sins!
Sora Amamiya (Elizabeth):
I was so excited to see Tristan looking just like his parents, mature and growing! And as if that wasn’t enough, his growth is shown through intense, explosively animated action scenes! What a rush. Please also watch out for my scenes as Mother Elizabeth!
Aoi Yuki (Dian):
Many series leave the future up to the imagination of the audience, but I’m glad we got to see the future that our heroes protected. I hope you enjoy this new generation of The Seven Deadly Sins with the same excitement as the original!
Tatsuhisa Suzuki (ban):
The experience of watching this movie was like seeing the wide world of The Seven Deadly Sins expanded even further in a completely new way. What happened during that gap? I hope you enjoy seeing the band in a new way that you will only see here. That said, I can’t wait for part 2!
Jun Fukuyama (King):
Our seven deadly sins once ended and now begin again. While waiting for the script, I couldn’t wait to see what new story, visuals and characters would emerge. With its brand new story and all new challenges, it made me as happy as a member of the original cast. As the focus shifts to the next generation, I hope that everyone who watches Grudge of Edinburgh will enjoy The Seven Deadly Sins again.
Yuhei Takagi (Gauter):
The beauty of the royal fantasy world and the powerful battle scenes made possible by the 3D animation were breathtaking! I personally loved the scene where Gowther teaches Tristan to ride a horse. I wondered if it had something to do with Gowther riding that horse with Nadia, and I felt both sad and happy.
Maaya Sakamoto (Merlin):
I’m not showing up this time, but I’m so happy that the story of the Seven Deadly Sins isn’t over! I will watch them on their mission. Please watch with me!
Tomokazu Sugita (Escanor):
Seeing my old friends in this new form touched me deeply. Words are important, but perhaps the way we choose to live conveys an even deeper message. Oh sun in the sky, please warm them gently…
The plot of the film is described as follows:
14 years since the Lion Kingdom defeated the Demon Clan and brought peace to the land, Prince Tristan is tormented by his inability to control two great powers: the power of his father Meliodas’ Demon Clan, who serves as the captain of the Seven Deadly Sins as the Dragon’s sin of the wrath and power of his mother Elizabeth’s Clan Goddess. When Elizabeth’s life is threatened, Tristan flees the kingdom and heads to Edinburgh, where Datpiers, who was once a member of the kingdom’s group of Holy Knights, the Pleiades of the Azure Sky, maintains his castle. But what are Detpiers’ intentions? The Wheel of Fortune begins to move and sweeps away even the Seven Deadly Sins…
