Voice actress Saori Hayami joins the cast of the upcoming Urusei Yatsura reboot anime as Oyuki as announced on the anime’s official website. Previously, Katsuyuki Konishi joined as Ram. You can see Saori Hayami’s character preview below:
Oyuki is described as Ram’s childhood friend and is the queen of Neptune. She usually comes across as quiet and elegant, but she also has a frightening side when she’s angry.
“I think she’s cool and beautiful and has a wonderful personality. It is interesting that she is calm, but not afraid at times. I hope I can enjoy the recording while capturing Oyuki’s delicate expressions that she displays in conversation.”

Hayami has many popular roles in the anime, including Shinobu Kocho in Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no YaibaYamato in ONE PIECEYukino Yukinoshita c My Teen Romantic Comedy SNAFUYor Forger in Spy x Family, and so on. She also had more roles in some recent anime titles, such as Therese Alexandrite in the second season of Rise of the Shield HeroMomo Ryuju c Kaguya-sama: Love Is War -Ultra Romantic-Ruby Rose c RWBY: The Ice Queenand Yuri c The maid I hired recently is mysterious.
TheUrusei Yatsurathe reboot was announced in January of this year. It first received a visual key and trailer in May. Previously announced cast members include:

- Maaya Uchida as Shinobu Miyake
- Mamoru Miyano as Shutaro Mendo
- Miyuki Sawashiro as Sakura
- Wataru Takagi as Sakuranbo
- Kana Hanazawa as Ran
Urusei Yatsurais based on the manga by Rumiko Takahashi and was serialized in Shogakukan’s Weekly Shonen Sunday. Before the upcoming reboot, it received an anime adaptation by Studio Pierrot (episodes 1-106) and Studio Deen (107-195), which aired from October 1981 to March 1986.
