Sam Fender has announced details of a personal interest show that will be playing in Newcastle next month.
The “Seventeen Going Under” artist will return to his Northeast home on May 24 for a special concert at O2 City Hall in Newcastle, celebrating his first live performance at the 2,600-seat venue.
The show will serve as a fundraiser for Homeless Northeast, which supports homeless and vulnerable people in the North East of England, as well as food and emergency kits at street outreach sessions.
Fender, a patron of the charity, presented the organization with its BRIT Rock / Other Performance Award in February.
Virgin Media and O2 customers will be offered 875 pairs of tickets to the Fender show at O2 City Hall by voting, which will be available exclusively to Virgin Media and O2 customers from 10am Monday (April 25) until 11:59 pm 15 May . Winners will be announced on 17 May.
Each ticket for the ballot will cost £ 5, with a limit of eight tickets per person. All proceeds will go to Homeless North East, and more information about the show can be found here.
Fender will perform this summer at a number of shows, stands and festivals, before joining Florence + The Machine on a North American tour in September.
