Rudeus begins attending Ranoa Magical University, where he interacts with Fitz as he investigates the teleportation incident. There is a student at the university named Zanoba who idolizes Rudy as his puppet master. He cannot make puppets due to his extreme strength, so Rudeus goes to the slave market in search of someone who can do the manual labor for him.
