Robbie Williams is said to be appearing in a new documentary about his life and career.
The film, which will be a TV documentary, is reportedly being made by the same production company behind Liam Gallagher’s 2019 film As It Was, and has been in the works for several months.
As reported by The Sun, a source close to the project said: “Robbie is one of the funniest men in music and the documentary will be equal parts funny and heartwarming. ..
“But he also had a great music career, raised a family and put together a lot of famous stories, so there will be a lot to talk about in the documentary.”
Williams last made a documentary about her life almost 20 years ago.
Williams will also appear in a new biopic about his life, Better Man, directed by The Greatest Showman director Michael Gracey.
Talking about the project dead line Gracey said before: “As for how we portray Robbie in the film, that part is top secret. I want to do it in a very original way.
“I remember going to the movies as a kid and there were movies that blew my mind and made me say as I sat in the theater, ‘I haven’t seen this.’ I want the audience to have that feeling.”
Gracey added, “What I can say is that the approach is very secretive, but the goal is to create that feeling that I described. It’s a great story, and I want showing it from its raw reality right down to those big moments.fantasy.
“Unlike some people who were born musical cops or geniuses and who continue to capture the world with their brilliance, this is not the case.”
Explaining why he was drawn to the project, Gracey said he was interested in Robbie being “that guy” who “dreamed big and followed those dreams and they took him to an incredible place”.
He said, “He’s not the best singer, he’s not the best dancer, and yet he’s managed to sell 80 million records worldwide.
“You can identify with the man who doesn’t see himself as having any extraordinary talent, although of course he does. What he had was the will, the vision and the confidence to say: I’m going to to follow my dream.”
The release date of the project has not yet been confirmed.
