Immediately after the final broadcast of Reincarnated as a sword anime, Season 2 of the TV anime has been announced. The announcement came with a new preview and video, and you can watch the short announcement below:

Yu Tanaka wrote the originalReincarnated as a sworda light novel. The novel launched on the Shosetsuka ni Naro website in October 2015 with illustrations by LLO. GC Novels began publishing it in light novel format in 2016. It also has an ongoing manga adaptation by Tomovo Maruyama, and has a separate mangaReincarnated as a Sword: Another wishby Hinako Inoue, which launched in June 2020.
