Part 2 of Ragnarok Season 2 Recording unveiled a new trailer ahead of its July 12 premiere. Netflix will stream the anime. The anime had a panel at this year’s Anime Expo.
Studios Graphinica and Yumeta Company animated the second season of the series under the direction of Masao Okubo. The same studios also worked on the first season of the anime, which premiered in 2021. The cast includes:
- Miyuki Sawashiro as Brünnhilde
- Yuichi Nakamura as Gautama Buddha
- Tomoyo Kurosawa as Gol
- Katsuyuki Konishi as Heracles
- Tomokazu Sugita as Jack the Ripper
- Subaru Kimura as Raiden
- Tatsuhisa Suzuki as Shiva
Ragnarok recordingis based on a manga written by Shinya Umemura and Takumi Fukui and illustrated by Ajichika. The manga has been serialized since 2017 in Coamix’sMonthly Zenon Comicmagazine.Viz Mediapublished the manga in English and described the plot as:
The Valkyrie Brunnhilde has convinced the gods to give humanity a chance at redemption by fighting in the arena of Valhalla. Seeking a quick end to the trial, the gods present their first fighter, Thor, the Norse god of thunder. Facing him is a warrior considered the strongest in the history of mankind, the legendary general Lu Bu!
