The upcomingReborn to Master the Blade: From Hero King to Extraordinary Squireanime released a preview trailer for episode 1 along with a synopsis. The premiere date is set for January 9, 2023. STUDIO COMET is animating the adaptation, which was announced in November 2021.
The main character, Hero King Inglis (Mugihito), is respected for creating a huge kingdom in his lifetime. In the first episode, with his last breath, he makes a wish to the goddess Alistia: to be reborn and dedicate his entire new life to himself as a soldier. It takes him to a distant future with a new life, but as a woman. (T)he (Akari Kito) begins training as a baby, and a magical monster that did not exist in his previous life appears. Facing off against the monster, Inglis exerts extraordinary power to its fullest.
Hayaken has been running the light novel on web novel service Shosetsuka ni Naro since March 2019, and Hobby Japan has been publishing the light novel series with art by Nagu under its HJ Bunko novel label since November 2019. The light novel released an 8th volume in August 2022 Moto Kuromura drew the manga adaptation and the 4th volume was published in November 2022.
